Last Friday I spent the night with my friend. We had the music in the back ground pretty much the whole night. We just left the music low when we all started to fall asleep. This song played twice as I was laying down in dark silence.

I am realizing I am going to stand out. That is a good thing, but that is hard. I feel weird.  We are called to be different for Jesus.. and for His glory.

Sometimes I try to hard to fit in and then fail. . . and then I feel worse then if I would have just been myself and been different.... am I making any since? Anyway here is the song. :)

When you least expect it.

A few weeks ago I was able to go ice skating with my church. It was my first time since I was like 7.... haha..... I did better than I thought I was going to. :) 

I really didn't want to go. It was Saturday.... It had been a busy week.... I was tired. But my mom came to my room and said " Lysa it's time to get up if you are coming. Mrs. Tisha called and Giselle is coming" 

Giselle is one of my sweet girls I work with every Wednesday in Awana...... I went. 

I am so glad I went... We had a lot of fun! She is precious.

Poor Giselle hurt her ankle skating... She cried... I felt so bad. :( 

Then she fell asleep with me holding ice on her ankle.....

After she woke up... She wanted to read my letters from my other girls... far away..... That was very special....

I love this sweet girl a lot. I am so blessed to have this opportunity to share just a little of God's love for her. 

I want to be used by Him every day.... even the days when I just want to stay home....

Song Saturday

Thursday we went to Refuge Ranch. This family adopts/fosters a lot of children.... like 25! There is only 13 in the ranch right now. It was so fun. There were a lot of girls to meet. I made some pretty cool friends.

Some of the younger kids did a dance. It was really beautiful!!

How Great!!

Well I missed Song Saturday. Sorry. I am in Florida visiting my brother and his wife. We have had a lot of fun.... unfortunately it ends today. We have school tomorrow. :(


Anyway...  few weeks ago I said I would share an awesome story with you. Well here goes.:)

My Dad had mentioned sponsoring another child from South America, through Compassion for him and my two little brothers to write to ( That is amazing in itself). My mom, my two little brothers and I looked at the Compassion site to see who God had for us. We decided to wait and pray about the little boy ( The boys were sure they wanted a boy about their age) we had in mind, and the boy God had for us.

My mom posted on Our Compassion asking for some info about some countries. A lot of people commented about a man named Kees Boer. They said he was looking for a sponsor , for a little boy from Bolivia named Erik. They said Kees goes to Bolivia often and he will get us a lot of pics and even some videos of Erik and his project.

We talked to Kees that night on Facebook. He told us many things. He showed us videos and pics. We told him we would pray and try to give him an answer about Erik in the morning after we talk to the boys and of course Dad. I was kind of nervous about it but we prayed it would work out. :)

The next morning we talked to the boys. They were so excited!! Of course they said they would love to sponsor Erik. :)  Then Dad...... well he wasn't that excited but he said YES!!!

We are so excited about what God has planned for us and this little boy. 

God is so much bigger than are plans and dream.

Monday Mail Call!!

Ok so I have received TWO letters from my sweet filipino in the past two weeks. :) I love her!!

I have only received letters from Jazzy's sweet mom, and the one or two notes from Jazzy were just two or three sentences long.  These two were written by her!!

The first one was one about her house.  I learned that she has electricity and gets her water from a pump! Yay!! Her house is made of bamboo, cement, and wood. Her house is 1.5 kilometers away from her project.

Then there was a note thanking me for my support and wishing me a Merry Christmas. It was signed....

Sweet!!!!

The second letter was a Christmas card.... she made me a Christmas card see....

One side of the card was a Christmas note from Jazzy to me and the other side was a Christmas note from her mom Mrs. Priscila to my mom Teena. Pretty sweet right? That is not all.... 

There was a whole other letter from Jazzy stapled to the card!!! This girl is sweet!! Here are a few of the many cute thing she said.:) 

I think your family are safe and good health . Thank you very much for sending me a Christmas card and stickers.

Zaira and Texus said to me thank you for your greetings to them, and your prayers. My favorite Christmas song is " Joy to the World"
